Privacy Policy

The short version: Mimic does not collect, store or transmit any of your data. The app contains no networking code, so there is nothing for us to receive even if we wanted it.

What we collect
Nothing. Mimic collects no personal data and no usage data.
Concretely: there are no accounts, no sign-up or login, no email requested, no third-party analytics (such as Google Analytics or Firebase), no advertising SDKs, no crash-reporting service, and no user identifiers of any kind.
Where your recordings go
They stay on your device. The audio you record, the converted result, and any voice you create yourself all live only in local storage.
None of it is uploaded anywhere, because the app has no networking logic in its source and requests no network entitlement from the operating system. You can verify this by enabling airplane mode: every feature keeps working exactly as before.
Deleting the app removes this local data with it.
Microphone access
Mimic needs microphone access to record the speech you want to convert. This is the core function of the app, and the permission is used only while you hold the record button.
You can revoke it at any time in iOS system settings. Recording stops working, but voices you have already created remain.
Where processing happens
Mimic processes recordings and voices directly on your device. This data is never sent to us or a third-party server.
Third parties
Mimic shares no data with third parties, because it has no data to share.
The one exception is Apple: when you download the app from the App Store, Apple handles download and payment information under its own policies. That never passes through us and we cannot see it.
Children's privacy
Mimic collects no data from anyone, children under 13 included.
Changes to this policy
If the behaviour of the app ever changes — for instance if a feature requiring a connection is added — this policy will be updated first, with the date noted above.
